Dushica,
I finished the zine! The haiku suited better. Thank you for helping me see that.
This is my first zine, and I really enjoyed the process. Maybe that explains the amount of time it took me and the steps involved: buying craft supplies, bringing material from Portugal to make the language meaningful (most of it is in Spanish with some in Portuguese), collecting more material here in the UK, drafting both digitally and physically, and doing a lot of testing.
An underlying idea of this epistolary format was to explore different types of writing and art. It was about getting comfortable. This artistic experiment has definitely been helpful. Here are four of the pages:

I love the queer essence of zines and that we share this interest. My eye is now on tech zines that address tech-related issues from the voices of the most marginalized. However, the next one I'm planning to make —in standard size— is one I hope will help my friends remember the bright, significant, and hopefully transformative moments of this year in Brighton. It is me who probably needs it the most. I hope it helps you too.
For now, I plan to give the zine to her today. Wish me luck!
